Did you know friends links existed?
Within the story settings for each post you write on Medium, you get a friend link to share with, well friends, or family, or a general audience that doesn’t have a Medium membership.
That must mean friend links don’t make you any money, right? Wrong!
Here’s the cool part about friend links. If you share a friend link on social media, everyone has access, hence, any person can read your post for free on Medium. But if a reader is in fact a paying Medium member who comes across your friend link and opens it with their paid Medium account, you still get paid for their reading time as if it wasn’t a friend link.
