4 Surprisingly Simple Notion Use Cases For Beginners

Tap into the power of this free powerhouse of an app

Notion is an all-in-one productivity tool that is incredibly powerful, offering an almost endless range of features and capabilities. From creating simple notes, task lists, reminders, and scripts, to building powerful management systems, organizational structures, habit, workout, or finance trackers, and much more.

While this sounds great (and is), it can be a g for those new to the tool. Many find it difficult to understand and challenging to learn. However, once you start to get a handle on the basics, you can tap into the immense possibilities of Notion.

To really get the most out of Notion, you need to know what you want to use it for. You need to have a great use case.

Here are a few ideas!

#1 Link in bio website

You may be familiar with Linktree or Bio.link, which are great sites to easily create a simple website with links to all your stuff.

You can achieve the same result with Notion, either through the use of a template, such as the one available on Gumroador by using a dedicated platform like Super. The former option is totally free, while the latter requires a paid monthly subscription plan.

Whatever option you choose, the result will be the same: You will be able to quickly create a functional Link in Bio webpage with Notion.

Additionally, Super also provides several other features and benefits that make it well worth the price of the subscription.

#2 Blog

You can also set up a blog with Notion. You need a Notion website builder that includes blog templates. Typedream and Super are two popular sites for this.

How does it work? You write your blog posts in Notion in a database, then connect it to Typedream or Super. And done!

It’s not free, but it’s a lot easier than playing around with a WordPress installation. You also have the benefit of hosting your blog content within Notion where you ideally keep all your other stuff as well. Two birds with one stone, you know.

Tools:

#3 Writing tool

Notion is a truly incredible writing tool. Not only is it free, but it also supports markdown which makes it incredibly flexible for whatever project you might have. I use Notion as my go-to writing tool for my work on MediumSubstackPayhip, and pretty much anything else.

You’re good to go out of the box with a free Notion account and a blank page. Write away!

If you need some more input, I created a Notion-based system for online writers called Write OS that you can find on Payhip.

With Notion, you get a powerful and versatile writing tool that’s easy to use and can help you work on any kind of project. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable, free writing tool that can also house your other productivity-related content like notes, to-dos, management systems, and more.

Tools:

#4 Creating forms

Notion is also an excellent tool for creating forms. It can be used for creating surveys, quizzes, and forms for capturing customer information. It’s a great way to get feedback from your customers.

Notion forms are easy to create and configure, and they come with a range of options that allow you to customize the look and feel of the forms to your exact needs. You can create forms that are tailored to the specific needs of your readers, and you can be sure that the information you collect will be accurate and up-to-date.

Moreover, Notion forms are designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for your customers to provide the information you need.

Tools:

The bottom line

Notion is an incredibly powerful all-in-one tool that can be intimidating to learn, but once you understand the basics, you can use it for a variety of purposes. Notion can be used to create a Link in Bio website, a blog, a writing tool, and forms for collecting customer information.

No matter what you need Notion for, it’s important to remember that it’s a versatile and powerful tool that can help you be more productive. With the right use cases, Notion can be a great addition to your workflow.
